Now that the dust has settled on St.Patricks Day in Dunboyne we, the committee, just wanted to say a few thank yous.
Firstly, to Ardú coffee…they very kindly and generously donated their space and time to us every week for meetings since November. They kept us in tea and coffee and never asked for anything in return. What a business Next, our amazing sponsors!! We asked and you delivered more than we ever thought possible. None of it would have happened without you. Special mention to our main sponsors, Apex Surveys LTD. and Deane Motors, for giving us lift off. We want to thank all of our amazing participants! The time and effort that went in to each and every walking group and float was phenomenal! To our MC, Dave C Robinson, thank you for the entertainment and for supporting our groups from the stage. Emma Costello, you are some woman! Thank you for everything you do for our local athletics club community. We were honoured to have you as our Grand Marshal. Joe Humphreys and Jack O Gorman you both played a blinder on stage! Entertainment was fantastic! To our local councillor Cllr Caroline O'Reilly who supported us every step of the way and helped us to get it off the ground! To all of our volunteer marshals on the day…you have no idea how grateful we are for that support. Truly cannot say thank you enough. To Stephen Knowles who helped us out last minute with sound, very much appreciated! Thank you to Thorntons Recycling for our grand stand and to Sean Henry for helping us out with our barriers. To Mulvany's Fingal House for facilitating marshal meetings and participant meetings, thank you. We were also very lucky to have the Meath Civil Defense come out and join us for the day. Safety is a huge priority for us and their presence was so appreciated on the day! The Dunboyne Men's Shed also provided major assistance on the day and we are very grateful to have the hands on deck!
Last, but certainly not least, we want to say a huge thank you to YOU the community of Dunboyne!! Without your support and attendance yesterday, none of it would have happened! We really do live in a wonderful village with tremendous community spirit! We can’t wait to do it all again on the 17th March 2026!!
We could thank people all day long and I’m sure we have left someone out but it really does take a village and an excellent committee to get events like these up and running and we are blessed with the best!! Watch this space for more events to be announced soon…

If you are joining us today and have any additional needs or mobility impairments please approach a steward who will show you our two dedicated areas - outside Mulvany's Fingal House and Mara. These areas are reserved to make sure everyone can enjoy the day.
The Old Schoolhouse in the heart of Dunboyne is home to our first aid station and toilets for the day also.
Please remember parking restrictions are in place on the green and the car park, so if you have left a car there we would really appreciate it if you could relocate it.
Any questions, just ask anyone of us on the green!
